World Book Reference Site September 17, 2007

For several years now we have subscribed to the World Book Encyclopedia online … this year our subscription was upgraded (at no extra cost to us) to the advanced version. This is an excellent site for you to have your students use when doing research. The site not only includes the encyclopedia, but also an atlas and dictionary, as well as a resource guide to “Explore Michigan” and “Explore the World”. Users can create an account and save their research for later access, have the site help them build their citations, and view primary sources. The home page even has a section listing the headlines for the day. This resource can be accessed by going to the Media Center page for any of our buildings, and clicking on the World Book Logo.
